Costa Rica Hub
Costa Rica is one of the easiest places in Central America to plan an adventure-forward trip: strong tourism infrastructure, great biodiversity, and lots of short-distance region combinations.
What to do: combine volcano + cloud forest + beach. A classic route is San José → Arenal/La Fortuna (hot springs, hanging bridges) → Monteverde (cloud forest, zip lines) → Guanacaste or Manuel Antonio (beaches + wildlife).
If you want wildlife density, target Corcovado/Osa and Tortuguero in season. For surfing, look at Santa Teresa, Nosara, Tamarindo, and Dominical. For soft adventure, prioritize rafting, canyoning, and guided night walks.
